Yoga Training for Kids

Are you 12-16 years old and LOVE YOGA?

Do you also LOVE aerial yoga and want to learn a valuable life skill? Have you ever wanted to teach your friends yoga? Maybe even volunteer and teach for Hunnyfly’s Kids Program? Have you ever wanted to lead a yoga class at your school or help your friends relax during tests and stressful times? Then join Hunnyfly’s Kids Yoga Teacher Training program and certified through Inland College of Yoga’s Registered Yoga School (a Yoga Alliance Registered School).

You will learn really awesome poses in the aerial yoga hammock and on the yoga mat!

  • Anatomy for aerial and mat Yoga
  • How to teach a yoga class
  • Improve confidence
  • Discussion of the pressures of body image and social media

  • Learn about the benefits of self-compassion vs. just improving self-esteem

When and Where?

Classes Start July 30th and will meet Mon/Wed/Fri from 10-1PM (bring a light snack) and then three Sunday classes from 8:30-3PM July 29th, August 26th and Sept. 30th. Class times can be made up but please contact me in advance.

Taught by Martena Wilson – Owner and Founder of Inland College of Yoga, Hunnyfly Studios Lompoc and Hunnyfly Holidays

With 18 years teaching experience teaching ages 2 years to 80+ years I have seen yoga change and grow. Who started me in yoga? My parents!! I am eternally grateful because yoga has taught me to forgive myself during difficult times, honor my path and accept myself for who I am without criticism. I am currently completing my Masters In Clinical Psychology in Santa Barbara and have been teaching classes for Lompoc Unified School District (grades 7-12) with great success! Yoga works and this ‘technology’ of mindfulness and self-compassion is an incredibly valuable skill our future leaders will use in all areas of their life!
